Beautiful Berkley June

 I figured it would be a good idea to get people up to speed on our newest family member, Berkley June Denton. Berkley was born on September 9, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and measured 18.5 inches long. However, at her 2 week appointment she had grown 3 inches. I think this mismeasurement could have been because it took some time to straighten out those frog-like legs of hers. Those cute little legs were spring loaded for a few weeks and it made changing her diapers challenge in and of itself. She has always been a GREAT baby and the adventure seems to get better everyday! It is hard to cram 6 months of fun into one short blog, but here is a taste to hold you over until next time.

 Layne put her in this box and set her on the front porch as a delivery package. If only "real delivery" was that easy!

 sweet dreams

 Okay, so funny story. We dressed Berkley as Stewie (on the Family Guy) for Halloween. When a couple of neighbor girls came to the house to trick-or-treat, I answered the door holding "Stewie". This was the first time the girls had seen Berkley and they handed us a pink gift in hesitation and said "My mom said you had a baby girl?". I told her that this was Berkley, but we had dressed her up for Halloween. I guess between the overalls and her comb-over, we pulled off a pretty good costume.

 This is our little"white-trash" baby pic. This tank-top we cut off because her attached bellybutton kept snagging on her clothes. After it fell off we kept the tank and let her sport it around.

She sleeps with her head to one side or the other and as a result has rubbed her hair into the cutest she-mullet.

 Eating everything she can get her hands on!
